Authority, sponsorship, intended audience.
Mission appears on Web site, and states, in part, "to provide unique educational opportunities for nurses and other health care professionals." There is an invitation for sponsors, although none are indicated at this time. Course authors are affiliated with Health Interactive.

Course author information is accessed through table of contents listing. Authors demonstrate depth of clinical background in course subject matter. Also listed is an MD as course reviewer.

Academic oriented site. Contains hyperlinks to clinical resource materials pertinent to course content. This site does not contain advertising.

Browser and other concerns.
Browser must support frames, and embedded video clips. Table of contents and course outlines appear in frames. Content of course contains animated graphs, video and audio clips.

Continuing Education.
Courses focus on advanced nursing assessment, beautifully composed and presented. Physiology (normal and abnormal) and assessment of sounds are enhanced by use of video and audio. Computer-based learning assessment segments (quizzes, true-false) assist the learner to validate understanding -- authors identify these as "instant feedback areas" within the course. Courses are approved for contact hours by a variety of state providers, as well as some courses by ANCC. Offerings range from 1.5 - 3.3 contact hours, $7 - $15. Registration available online.
